A delicious vegan hot dog with an Asian twist. You do this with the Frik'n Long from Upside! We know that the Frik'n Long is perfect for a delicious hot dog, but this version is extra tasty. With a homemade sauce you steal the show at home! This dish is a great comfort food dish, but you will also make a good impression on your friends when you serve this at lunch. Very easy and very tasty!
Ingredients
Frik'n Long sausage from Upside
Long buns
Carrot
Cucumber
Bean sprouts
4 tbsp peanut butter
4 tbsp sweet chilli sauce
2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp soy sauce
Water
Topping: spring onion / fried onions / cilantro or parsley
Preparation
First cut the carrot and cucumber julienne (into very thin strips). Cut the spring onion into fine rings and chop the parsley or coriander finely.
Make the sauce by heating 4 tbsp peanut sauce along with 4 tbsp chili sauce, 2 tbsp honey and 1 tbsp soy sauce in a saucepan. When it gets a thick substance, turn the heat low and add 50-100 ml water, until the sauce is the thickness you like.
Bake the Frik'n Long sausages.
Finally, you are going to make up the sandwich. Cover the sandwich with the vegetables and the Frik'n Long. Garnish with the sauce, spring onion, parsley or cilantro and the fried onions.
